We make cycling possible!
Who we are
We have an international and multidisciplinary team with experience on urban planning, sustainable urban mobility and active mobility. Working on a context-based approach, no copy-paste, we are all experts on cycling. The roots of the consultancy firm go back to 2008 and we are based in The Netherlands in the first European Green Capital (2018), Nijmegen.
What we do
We provide conceptualization of projects for active mobility. We do applied research, design and implementation of projects. We also give advice to local and regional governments for urban planning and mobility. Last but not least, we do knowledge sharing through workshops, talks, presentations and guided rides. We do so in different languages, building bridges between different cultures.
VeloCity Ghent 2024
We attended VeloCity 2024 in Ghent in Belgium as part of a representation of the Dutch Cycling Embassy. It was great to discuss new opportunities for cycling as means of transport with colleagues, clients and friends alike!
Trade Mission in Dublin, Ireland
Getting Ireland on bikes with Dutch expertise; that is all what it was about on the Dutch Trade Mission in April 2024, in which 22 Dutch companies presented themselves to Irish policy makers. Loendersloot International’s Aoife O’Donnell provided multiple presentations on Loendersloot International’s expertise of walking and cycling.
Knowledge
We believe that sharing our knowledge on cycling mobility is vital to make an impact. We often share our expertise with our closest partners as well as with the general public. We provide research, analysis and advice. We also contribute to conferences and run presentations, webinars and workshops. We also provide cycling tours in the Netherlands!
Dutch Cycling Embassy
Loendersloot International is a founding member of the Dutch Cycling Embassy (DCE), which is a public private organization that gathers the best of Dutch cycling expertise. Via the DCE we are involved in trade missions, with delegations coming to the Netherlands, ThinkBike workshops abroad, among many other activities. We enjoy explaining Dutch cycling infrastructure to an international audience, professionals and the general public alike.
Events
We regularly attend international and national events, such as the 2022 VeloCity conference in Ljubljana. We spent our time expanding our network, attending inspiring sessions and meeting amazing people who also advocate for more inclusive cities! Here you will find the latest places we have been at.
